Rino & Pelle has been officially affiliated with PETA since 2020.
Designed for companies that sell clothing, accessories, furniture, and/or home goods made with vegan alternatives to animal skins or fibres such as leather, fur, wool, silk, feathers, bone, etc. This helps consumers identify which products are vegan at a glance while shopping and make purchases that align with their values
Nearly 1,000 brands worldwide are authorised to use the "PETA-Approved Vegan" logo, including Topshop, The Kooples, Esprit, and Save the Duck. In a news release, Esprit's global business manager said, "We are happy about the opportunity to work with PETA on more transparency in textile labelling and thus better inform our conscious consumers. It is a great accomplishment for Esprit to be able to transfer the philosophy of appealing vegan fashion to a commercial lifestyle product and we thank PETA for their support."
BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative)
We are affiliated with the BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative) to control our production suppliers. These independent audits enable us to take steps, if necessary, to improve working conditions in these locations and to comply with official standards. The next step is to also check all other parties involved in the production process, such as suppliers, textile factories, paint factories, printers, tailors, etc.
The Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) is a non-profit organisation. It was set up as an initiative of the Foreign Trade Association in response to the debate on how to achieve convergence in the field of corporate social responsibility. It implements the principle international labour standards such as International Labour Organisation (ILO) conventions and the United Nations (UN) Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) and guidelines for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
